Expeditions

From canoe to kayak or SUP, we can support you to going on that amazing expedition you’ve always dreamt of. We are happy to offer expeditions at home and abroad and here are some examples of what we can offer, the only limit is your imagination.

Royal Dee Descent

Starting at the Linn of Dee, the highest vehicle access point on the Dee we follow this beautiful river as it meanders down the 109km down to the sea at Aberdeen. On the way we take in the scenes from the Cairngorm mountain range down past the royal residence, through Scots Pine Forests and stunning scenery. The river itself is mainly grade 1-2 with five, inspectable and portagable, grade 3 rapids.

We are fortunate to have a number of villages on the riverbank along the way offering opportunities to restock along the way as well as giving the option to complete the expedition under canvas or by sampling the local hospitality for a more comfortable experience.

We can offer bespoke trips as well as our own scheduled trips.

Spey Descent

Take on the River Spey with constant grade 1-2 rapids to keep you entertained for the whole journey. One of the fantastic features of the Spey is the options to extend or lengthen your descent depending on how much time you have. Most descents start from Loch Insh but with many options above and below we can work out a programme for you.

As the Spey works it’s way towards Spey Bay it passes many famous distilleries offering a different way to break up the journey with a distillary tour.

River Soca, Slovenia

The Soca is an incredible emerald green river running from the Julian Alps in Slovenia. It offers many sections from grade 2/3 up to grade 4. Most paddlers opt to stay in or around Bovec which offers an ideal base to enjoy the river on day trips with short drives to the different sections.

The Soca is great for a first Alpine trip and can offer great entertainment for a weeks paddling or longer.

Noguera Pallaresa, Spain

The Noguera Pallaresa flows through the Spanish Pyranees past the town of Sort. Sort offers a fantastic base as it’s right on the slalom course which is a great section for developing skills as well as being a short drive from the other sections. Again offering grade 2/3 and Alpine grade 4 sections the Pallaresa comes in to it’s own later in the season with a guarantee of four hours of white water from the dam every single day until mid October.
