If your child is coming down to our loch for a party or group event this page should have all the information you need to know.
Before You Come
Before your child comes down you will need to complete our under 18 waiver:
What To Bring
- A swimsuit to wear under a hired wetsuit, it’s often easier to wear this from home under clothes
- A towel for afterwards
- A change of warm clothes for afterwards.
- Water shoes or an old pair of trainers that will be okay to get wet
We supply the canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, paddles, bouyancy aids and wetsuits. If your child has a wetsuit they can bring their own as it will most likely be a better fit.
How To Find Us
From Aberdeen
To find the loch you need to approach by South Deeside Road as Park Bridge is shut to vehicles. The turn off is 4 miles beyond the bypass when travelling out from Aberdeen. When you see a red sign saying “Road on the right closed” you need to take this right turn, you will also see a sign for “Durris School” at this junction pointing to the left. Once you’ve turned to the right, follow the road for half a mile until you see a Granite Adventures sign on your right and you go through a gate on the track down to our parking.
From Banchory
Pass through Kirkton of Durris then take your next left, there is a red sign in advance saying “Road to the left closed” and this is where you turn. Once you’ve turned, follow the road for half a mile until you see a Granite Adventures sign on your right and you go through a gate on the track down to our parking.
To find us on Google Maps click this link or search “Granite Adventures” in Google Maps.
On What3Words our entrance is at defining.flagging.shampoos
